Hi, I’m Nicholas (Nick) East, a researcher and current PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne working at the intersection of biocatalysis, protein engineering, and synthetic chemistry. I design artificial enzymes to perform reactions nature never intended — and use experimental tools, computational approaches, and intuition to understand and design them.
